TEKE was created by a team of passionate filmmakers, engineers, installation artists and friends who’ve worked on projects for the Ridley Scott Creative Group, VICE, Star Trek CBS, Samsung and Unity.
TEKE started as a side project to create animated lighting for our video productions—but once we showed other artists our unique brand of lighting (and the clients we were getting), the public’s passion for our product convinced us to share it with the world.
Getting TEKE from idea to reality to a real product has been a tremendous team effort. We’ve worked on it full-time for more than a year. Our team includes an electrical engineer specializing in device design, a brilliant user-interface designer, and artists that have worked and researched across industries to develop the most versatile system possible.
TEKE is now ready for production, and we’re so excited to share what we’ve built with the IndieGoGo community.

Manufacturing & Production
Hardware projects require finding a way to physically build real things at scale. We’ve already started developing relationships with supply-chain partners, and we’re working with professionals in Canada to realize PCB fabrication. In partnership with suppliers in China for chips, the TEKE case is also being injection molded in Canada, with assembly happening locally too. All packaging is aiming to be recyclable.
Ordering, Shipping and Taxes
If you don't see an exact order you want, simply send us a message and well try our best to make a custom order for you. Multiple items can be ordered by simple doubling or tripling the pledge amount, our team will recognize it as a multiple order of the item.
All orders can be updated / upgraded after the campaign ends - including all extras!
We plan on charging shipping and taxes shortly before TEKE ships. This way we have time to negotiate the best price for wherever you are in the world. Shortly before we send your TEKE, a team member will get in touch to confirm the following details:
- Address confirmation
- Shipping and tax rate
- Your interest in additional accessories or TEKE products
- Upgrades or changes to order
We plan on making use of existing relationships with local shipping warehouses to make sure your order is delivered quickly with no hassle. Taxes will also vary based on where you're from. We collect tax before shipping, so please check out the breakdown of taxes for the following countries:
- - Canada: Provincial sales taxes apply
- - United States: State sales taxes apply
- - Other countries: We are not charging taxes but you may be responsible for sales tax, VAT/GST taxes, duties, import fees, or other taxes/fees when your reward is delivered.
Our plan is to deliver TEKE to backers in Canada, US, EU, UK and AU directly.

WIFI router or DMX Art-Net controller!
TEKE has ditched the expensive transmitter and connected straight to your phones hotspot. It does not use any data and offers a strong, reliable connection for beautiful animations and pulsing gradients. For extended networking with TONS of TEKE, perhaps for a stage or large-scale installation - we recommend using a typical house-hold wifi router to boost your channels processing ability.
Software Development
When we first started developing TEKE, we were simply building it to use for our own productions. This proved advantageous because we had a lot of field testing and time to research what would make TEKE the most useful. Now that the core features are functionally complete, we’ve avoided any set backs in terms of the timeline risk for software development.
